In the 1960s and 70s, I was a mathematician/programmer for NASA, navigating spacecraft to the planets. I supervised many large teams, then managed supervisors, then managed managers, all creating ultra-reliable software. In the 80s, I started my own software company, and retired after publishing a couple very successful products. I've been programming ever since, for pleasure and curiosity. I suspect I'm about the longest practicing hacker on the planet -- over 50 years.
