Omg, this is killing me.
I already added mobile phone number and totally verified.
But, when I tried to create new twitter application, it kept on indicating an error saying I still needed to add mobile number even if I did.

Is there anyone having a solution with this issue?

I actually joined twitter and added my cell phone number and totally verified it (I live in America).

Then, I went off to create new twitter application, but it kept saying I still needed to add mobile number even though I already did.

I am not quiet following your explanation.

So, I need to install twitter on my IPhone first (which I did) and logged in it.

Then, I need to open the safari browser and go to apps.twitter.com address and fill out name, website, and etc. to create application, right?

But, it still says I needed to add mobile number (I already added it. ugh).

Did I miss any of your instructions?

I just gave up… IDK who thought this was a good idea. I’ve connected my number, sent the confirmation code and still I can not create an app. I’m still getting this error. I QUIT! This feels like a scam! Facebook was so much easier. I’ll leave this one alone. So done with this.

I’m having the same issue, mobile phone connected, but still unable to create an app. All I want is to use the API to get some (public) tweets from a particular account. This used to be easy a few years ago, then turned into a PITA with OAUTH and now it seems to have become completely impossible. Is there another way of doing this without creating an app?

I did nothing special today. I had the same error always: "You must add your mobile phone to your Twitter profile before creating an application"
But today… I tried again and… “Your application has been created. Please take a moment to review and adjust your application’s settings.”

As explained in the other post I linked to - if your number is saved on your account, you’re likely hitting a slow replication / caching issue on our side. Please try again later and hopefully this will be cleared up.

If you are adding a number to different accounts, then each time you make a change there will be a delay before you can create an app while this latency issue is happening.
