With regards to a tweet: reply_count and mention_count

Hello,
I’m wondering what would be best option to get the number of replies to a tweet and the number of mentions of a user within the reply tweets.

Any chance of adding these counters to the GET statuses/show/:id result set?

Compare to favorite_count and retweet_count …??

Upvote. considering how 1.1 is so heavily rate-limited, it’s impractical to make developers pull down every reply to a tweet simply to get a count of replies.

In fact, I’d assume that Twitter would hate the extra load on their servers in such a case. Providing a simple count (replies_count) within the tweet’s data would be beneficial to all.
