Hey, I’m using the streaming API for some university project and desperately need it for about 6 more months. I read about shutting down the share-count API (https://blog.twitter.com/2015/hard-decisions-for-a-sustainable-platform). Will this effect the streaming API, too?
No. That change affects one unofficial, unsupported endpoint that third parties should not be using directly. The Streaming API is fully documented at https://dev.twitter.com/streaming/overview
