Widget not updating/showing latest tweets, even in preview pane on twitter site?

The twitter widget installed on my website has not updated with my latest tweets. Oddly, if I ‘create a new widget’ on the twitter site, the most recent posts do not show up in the preview pane… Any idea why these most recent posts are not being displayed by a widget? I am happy to supply any additional information.

Sorry newbie mistake. My tweets started with @… and were thus considered replies instead of new tweets (even though this was not the case). Anyway, ‘including replies’ causes these tweets to be visible in my stream. Live and learn.
