Why media_url are missing for some tweet in REST API?

Hello,

I tried to read some tweet with GET statuses/user_timeline

For this one, I have retweeted media image.

and for this one, i haven’t media_url entities:

https://api.twitter.com/1.1/statuses/user_timeline.json?screen_name=GBAssn&count=10

It looks like the “retweeted_status” is missing the media entities.

Media entities come empty even if the tweet has images attached. What we have to do to get the full object with media entities.

You should use extended tweet mode in all api calls that return Tweet objects e.g.

https://api.twitter.com/1.1/statuses/user_timeline.json?tweet_mode=extended&screen_name=GBAssn&count=10
