Why get notification after auto follow?

hello everybody
I use auto follow using twitter api

post('friendships/create', array('user_id' => $id , 'follow' => 'true'));

after follow someone , the notification of his tweet turn on immediately !!

how to follow with api without auto turning on notification ??

The follow parameter will “Enable notifications for the target user.” So simple to this

post('friendships/create', array('user_id' => $id));
