Why can't I set permissions to "write only"? (or can I ?)

What I’ve got:

This application will be able to :
• Read Tweets from your timeline.
• See who you follow, and follow new people.
• Update your profile.
• Post Tweets for you.

what I want:

This application will be able to :
• Post Tweets for you.

I don’t want to make people needlessly suspicious of my app by getting permission for it to do lots of things that it does not actually do.

And even “post tweets for you” is pretty suspicious; like it’s going to put words in your mouth and post ads for itself while you’re not looking- when all it really does is give the user the option to tweet their high score and last screenshot, with a text message they can edit before they post.

I keep getting this message when trying to change my permissions to read, write and access direct message, how can this be fixed?

You must add your mobile phone to your Twitter profile before granting your application write capabilities. Please read https://support.twitter.com/articles/110250-adding-your-mobile-number-to-your-account-via-web for more information
