Whitelisted app still can't get user email

I’m creating an app that requires a login with twitter function, the app has been whitelisted but when I run

client.requestEmail(session, new Callback<String>() {
                                public void success(Result<String> result) {
                                    printOut("TWITTER EMAIL", result.data);

                                public void failure(TwitterException exception) {

I get an exception

com.twitter.sdk.android.core.TwitterException: Your application may not have access to email addresses or the user may not have an email address. To request access, please visit https://support.twitter.com/forms/platform.

Is there any help or advice or even a reason as to why this wouldnt work?

After getting your keys whitelisted, ensure that you run a clean of your project. If that doesn’t work, do you see references to multiple Twitter Consumer Keys - for example, one in your info.plist and one when you initialize Fabric?
