If there are two URLs included in a Tweet, which gets previewed? How to make sure it’s the one we pass in as URL? We use a Tweet Web Intent and pass in two params:
text: "Example on https://bytheway.com" url: https://target.com
We want https://target.com to be previewed. Unfortunately, we’ve seen both examples. We’ve read Which url gets previewed
Thanks for your help.
As mentioned in the other thread, the last URL encountered in the status text field is the one that has a card generated, based on current behaviour. I’ve just tried this with a web intent using the same format you’ve provided, e.g.
https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=testing%20https://andypiper.co.uk/2013/05/16/cloud-foundry-has-gone-pivotal-so-whats-new/&url=https://blog.twitter.com/2017/building-the-future-of-the-twitter-api-platform
The Tweet composer shows the text and both URLs. The second URL is the one that gets shown as a card in the rendered Tweet.
