Where do I see HTTP status messages from Twitter?

I am not a developer. I am taking over a website that uses the Twitter API and I want to know where do I see HTTP status messages for things like warnings, or hitting rate limits, etc.? Do I need to login to the developer account or is it a message somewhere accessible from one of the files on my FTP Server?

These status messages are yielded in response to API calls – so when your system initiates an API request to Twitter and gets a response, that response contains the status code (as well as the response, when available).

So if I had to look somewhere to see these calls, would it be on a file next to the source code for my website? What file should I be looking for?
