Where do I request an access token?

Hi, I’m trying to create an access token using the button “create access token” on the details page , it appears on my apps tab on the twitter account.

Permissions: read-only
Approved: Tuesday, October 1, 2013 1:17:31 a.m. "

but doesn’t show the access code or token secret on the dev details page is just has says the same thing as if there is no token

this worked for me…

after testing the highest level of frustration I went to this link:

https://twitter.com/settings/applications

I found my app there (not sure if you’re that lucky as my other account doesn’t show my own apps)
and clicked on ‘revoke access’.

Twitter accepted my command and returned an ‘undo revoke access’ button.

I refreshed my app page and found my token was ready to be generated (magic?)!!!

This is horribly frustrating. All I want to do is allow my WP widget to show my twitter feed. To do this, I need the access token and secret. Every piece of documentation on here claims that if I go to my application page, there will be a “create my access token” button. There isn’t, there isn’t, there isn’t!

That’s the site I’m talking about. There is no “create my access token” button on my app management page. Do I need to post a screen shot?

From https://apps.twitter.com/, if you go to the “API Keys” tab, you should see the bottom section with your access token.

The same for me. Pressed the button many times and after each time page shows a message that says “token was generated successfully” but nope - actually it was not generated.
I thought it might be browser fault so I tried to generate through IE, Chrome, FF - but still nothing.
Is there any alternative to create access token?

We are aware of the issue with tokens not updating on https://apps.twitter.com. We are actively working on fixing the problem. The actual values are updated but due to a cache issue the display is not.
