When I update bid by api, it return error

hi,I want to ask a question that when i update bid by api, it return error. like this:

I first retain 2 decimal like 2.09,then i multiply by 1000000, and finally i update 2090000 to twitter api, but i return error ''invalied amount 2089999". why is 2089999,not 2090000?

Here is some example:

when first decimal point is 0 or 1, it will return error inevitable.

Hi @wangdao1! The error message says you have to multiply it by 10^8, not by 10^6. 2090000 / 10^8 = 0.0209 which has more than 2 decimal places.

yeah, I know what`s your mean. But I know if we bid 1.5 ,we should multiply it by 10^6 to twitter api. The doc say like this:

Indeed. This is how I remembered too, and it was strange to see 10^8 in the error message. Then maybe it’s an error in the API, and someone from Twitter should check. So we have to wait to see what they say.

There may be some currency specific logic depending on which currency it is. Since USD can support up to 2 decimal places (like 50 cents) it may be 10^8 instead of 10^6 for currency like Japanese yen. That’s related to the ‘minimum bid amount’, please see https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/ads/campaign-management/api-reference/bidding_rules

(1) number was changed
When we transferred 2090000 to Twitter, it will turned to 2089999. Could you pls explain how it happened?

  The issue is: **Twitter API changed the number.**

(2) what’s the right way to set bid amount as $2.09
Could you pls test Bid amount as $2.09 and let me know what code do you write? Thank you.

(3) normally it’s 10^6 for USD
when we send ‘bid_amount_local_micro’: 5840000,
the bid amount will change to $5.84
if we send ‘bid_amount_local_micro’: 584000000,
the bid amount will change to $584

(4) this bug happens when the decimal point right side first is 0 or 1.
e.g. $x.0x or $x.1x as bid amount.
