What is the period in "Requests this period"?

I’m using the Premium search 30 days API. I get 250 requests “per period,” and the dashboard shows “N requests this period” but I have not been able to find any documentation on how long a “period” is. The rate limiting documentation just talks about limits on the standard APIs, and the Premium search APIs page doesn’t mention this limit at all.

Is a period a day? An hour? A week? Something else? Sorry if I missed this somewhere…

Correct, this is requests per month.

Thanks. It might be helpful if you make that more prominent in the docs and/or dashboard (maybe something like “current period is from [Date X] to [Date Y]”). It’s not a big deal, but I would have been quite a bit more judicious with my API calls during early development if I realized I was blowing through 25% of my monthly alotment…
