Line Item product_type is validated in the context of the Campaign’s objective.
This validation seems to be undocumented.
Is there a way to predict which product_type attribute is valid for a given objective?

Could anyone help me to answer this?

Thanks for the question, @wenping.wang.

There are four product_type values: LIVE_TV_EVENT, MEDIA, PROMOTED_ACCOUNT, and PROMOTED_TWEETS. For all objectives, except FOLLOWERS, use PROMOTED_TWEETS.

This documentation, while only tangentially related, may help, too.

Hey Juan,

Regarding ‘except FOLLOWERS’, what does Followers use? PROMOTED_ACCOUNT?

If we use PROMOTED_ACCOUNT, does that mean you don’t attach a tweet?

Which objectives, if any, would go with LIVE_TV_EVENT or MEDIA?

Thanks!

@juanshishido

For all objectives, except FOLLOWERS, use PROMOTED_TWEETS.

How to set a LIVE_TV_EVENT, MEDIA campaign or line item?

Good follow up, @saraj345. You’re exactly right. The FOLLOWERS objective uses the PROMOTED_ACCOUNT product type. For Followers campaigns, you don’t necessarily have to attach a Tweet, but you can if you want to.

This page might help, too.

Thanks!

Sorry to remind it.

How to set a LIVE_TV_EVENT, MEDIA campaign or line item?
Are they could be set by any campaign objective?

@wenping.wang: It took a while to track down. It looks like we do not support LIVE_TV_EVENT and MEDIA. This was added to the documentation accidentally. Thanks again for the question!

[Edit] Still trying to determine what the MEDIA product type is used for.
