I am having problems creating a widget for an embedded time line. I keep getting the message

Something is technically wrong.

Thanks for noticing—we’re going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon.

This issue has not been resolved for my website. I followed the instructions on this thread i.e. included both domains www.torontosportscouncil.ca, torontosportscouncil.ca. I am still getting “Tweats by …”. PLease Help!

This is really irritating - everyone is talking about domains, yet the domain field is not on the widget configuration tool anymore! I am experiencing this issue and it seems the only known solution is not available any longer - what on earth is going on?!!!

Agreed with @SecureYrLifeNet. This “domain” solution isn’t an option anymore. SO irritating. Anything else?

I had this issue when working locally on my machine, I tried all of the recommended fixes and nothing worked. I tried on a live site though and it worked perfectly, maybe some kind of firewall issue? Doesn’t seem to be a browser thing as I had it in IE, Chrome and Firefox

My list widget works in Safari 6 (Mac OS X 10.7) until a few days ago, then it stopped and only shows a link. The same widget always works on Chrome. I hope someone from twitter will fix this problem soon.

Hi @jasoncosta,
This issue still persists in my client website. I tried the widget in a blank page. It worked fine. But when using in the website, it shows the link to the Twitter page and produces the following Javascript error. The Website is a Joomla site.

TypeError: a.toLowerCase is not a function
…et:“Tweeten”,“Tweet %{hashtag}”:“%{hashtag} tweeten”,“Tweet to %{name}”:"Tweeten…
widgets.js (line 11)

I’m not sure whether this issue is in my end. Please suggest a solution.

Thanks in advance

I think this is my problem now, help me please

@sriram_srre could you please provide more context? Is this a live site that we could look at?

I’m a newbie and trying to embed a twitter timeline into a school google site. Got the twitter widget code and used the google twitter widget then pasted the code. Like many, I am able to get the placeholder with the linked label on the box.
I do not understand where I fix the url address. Am I using the right gadget?

Please help. Trying to update school site for new school year.

@pls217

Am I understanding correctly @SecureYrLifeNet @gaaradams that this fix is no longer viable?

"In Twitter settings for your widget you must put both options for your URL

www.yoursite.com
yoursite.com
separate them with comma www.yoursite.com, yoursite.com then save*
If you have two websites you must enter them both in the same way seperated by comma 2 of the different ways for a total of 4 entries…"

How do you get Embeddable Timelines to work?

Here as well no way to display the “widget whitelist” on my Twitter Settings.
And “of course” (from posts above) by not doing that, I obtain the link “Tweets by …”:
http://emi.unisalento.it/sna/index.php/social

Curiously, no error is reported on the Firefox Console.
Plus, the “internal widgets” seem to work again:

Anyone did come up with a solution then?

This has been happening on my website this afternoon (Sydney time, 5pm 21/9/13), the embedded time line is going missing and just the ‘Tweets by @BlackheathWx’ shows up.

I have checked that the widget code is entered correctly on my index page, what is going on? Is there anything I can do to correct it? This feed is used by thousands of followers on my site each day.

This issue has returned again at 7:33pm Sydney, Australia time…no time line on my website.

Is there any feedback on this issue, it is occurring now again, at 11:22am Sydney time.

What is the problem with this widget? Has there been a fix that we can now implement?

I’m having an issue with the embedded timelines on my websites as well. Sometimes they show up and sometimes they don’t… Started happening a few days ago.

Hi
I’m also having the same problem with the timeline feed disappearing for significant periods of time and then reappearing. I can’t find any official announcement from twitter re any issues.

I have been having a similar problem, it occasionally works. I don’t think it has been resolved but it seems to be better (working 80% of the time). This leads my to assume this is some kind of network problem, maybe to much load on the servers?

I hasn’t yet seen a reply from twitter regarding this issue which concerns me, a simple we are looking into it would be reassuring.
