The Website Conversions objective is now in public beta for direct response advertisers in the US. For more information, see Introducing the new Website Conversions objective.

At the line item-level, specify this objective using objective=WEBSITE_CONVERSIONS. These campaigns require ALL_ON_TWITTER and PUBLISHER_NETWORK placement as well as the use of a primary_web_event_tag.

Web event tags can be found using the GET accounts/:account_id/web_event_tags endpoint and the selected tag must have a status of TRACKING.

On 2016-10-12, we will be exposing a new line item parameter—target_cpa_local_micro. This will be required for Website Conversion campaigns and will not have an effect on other objective types. This affects both creating new and updating existing line items. For partners who have already incorporated this objective into their solutions, this will be a breaking change.

The affected endpoints are:

In addition, target_cpa_local_micro values will be shown in calls to the GET accounts/:account_id/line_items and GET accounts/:account_id/line_items/:line_item_id endpoints.

Below is an example request for creating a line item with the website conversions objective:

$ twurl -X POST -H ads-api.twitter.com "/1/accounts/{account_id}/line_items?advertiser_domain=twitter.com&bid_amount_local_micro=140000000&bid_type=TARGET&
campaign_id={campaign_id}&categories={iab_categories}&objective=WEBSITE_CONVERSIONS&
placements=ALL_ON_TWITTER,PUBLISHER_NETWORK&primary_web_event_tag={web_event_tag}&
product_type=PROMOTED_TWEETS&target_cpa_local_micro=321000000"
