"VideoTool threw an exception" on video upload

When uploading and posting a .mov file, twitter returns the following error:

VideoTool threw an exception

This has cropped up intermittently on our app, and is often associated with upload .mov files. This file type appears to be supported via the API and the mobile app, but not via the desktop web application.

I am assuming there is a parameter that is off in the video, frame rate, audio, dimensions, etc.

Has anyone experienced this issue? Any luck resolving?

Can you provide us a sample video that you’ve been experiencing issues with, along with all steps to reproduce the issue? i.e., API calls made using twurl (entire request and response bodies)

We should be able to investigate the issue once we know more.
