Utterly Maddening - Can't Get Twitter Card to Validate

Hello,

I can’t ever seem to get the Twitter card to work. I get the message ERROR: Required meta tag missing (twitter:description).

I do not use excerpts on my posts. Is that why the card won’t ever validate? I’ve tested out various plugins to create excerpts but they don’t work and I’ve configured various SEO plugins to see if they would get the Twitter card to work.

The error message tells you exactly what is wrong - there is no twitter:description value and that is mandatory for the card type you are using. It is up to you how you add that value to your site’s pages.

Actually, I spent all day and figured out that due to the nature of my site, I need to use the archive URL for the Twitter card and now the description appears. See https://metacurity.com/?d=01%2F16%2F2017/#288669

But, now I can’t figure out how to get the thumbnails to appear for each post. I changed the code to thumbs instead of just thumb, and that didn’t seem to do the trick.

Do you have any suggestions?
