That repository is not maintained by Twitter so I can’t speak much to it. It is also very old, so I suggest that you try working with an actively maintained tool such as search-tweets.

There is a JSON object for both Tweet image urls and Tweet Favorites within the Tweet payload that delivers with the Premium Search APIs. You can read more about this in our documentation on intro to JSON and Search API
