I teach a grad level course about data management for predictive analytics, and I would like to use some tweets for a course assignment. Would I be violating Twitter’s data use policy If I used an API to capture some tweets and then I provided them to my students for their use?
We’d prefer if you provided the Tweet IDs and then had your students retrieve the data via a script etc - this would mean that if the Tweets are deleted in the future, they would not be available for use (which preserves user privacy). Appreciate that this is an additional step, but it ensures that you respect Twitter policies.
Thanks, Andy. What if students work in small teams, and one team member downloads some tweets that the team uses?
