I am having trouble getting the near: operator to work for a users/search query. My query looks like this.
https://api.twitter.com/1.1/users/search.json?q=“cafe%20roma”%20near/%3A"san%20luis%20obispo"&count=3&page=1 The plaintext search looks like this. “cafe roma” near:“san luis obispo”
When using twitter.com to search, it works great. https://twitter.com/search?q="cafe%20roma"%20near%3A"san%20luis%20obispo"&mode=users&src=typd
Can anyone tell me if i’m doing this wrong or if this is a bug? Its returning the wrong user account that is in sacramento, ca.

users/search does not support operators such as “near” – it’s almost purely a keyword search.
