We are integrating with the endpoint described here: https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/accounts-and-users/follow-search-get-users/api-reference/get-users-search to let our clients search for users to mention in their tweets.
We noticed differences in the response returned by the API call and the users returned when composing the tweet using the Search feature on twitter.com
We are using the same permissions as the users having access to a given Twitter account.
Is that to be expected?

Hi Andrea,
The endpoint you describe is not meant to be exhaustive (only returns 1000 accounts) and is not meant to duplicate the twitter UI (which is often limited to a lot less than that), so you can’t really compare them.
