Hello! we have a CRM (app id = 856572) and today our clients (vodafone, aireuropa…) obtain this error, when tried to answer their customers:
“User is over daily status update limit”
I don’t think we are doing too many calls, ¿Can you help me to get the reason? ¿Do you change something?
The hours was 12:30, 16:15… (Spain time)
There have been no changes that I am aware of that would cause this.
That error message would usually be associated with and specific to the user account itself - account limits are listed here.
Does your application have elevated POST limits? Are these Direct Messages, or standard Tweets?
Hi Andy,
From February to May 2019 we’re making arrangements with Twitter to request the elevated POSTS limits. In theory they granted it to us but since yesterday we are suffering this …
The problems occurred when responding to public comments, direct messages continued to work.
The accounts of our clients who had problems were:
- Vodafone_es
- Pepephone
- MasMovil
- Air Europe
- Renfe
-…
As you can see, they are very large accounts with great volume.
Can you verify that we have granted elevated POSTS limits?
We were discussing it with Morgan Brown.
Thank you. I’m unable to verify that your app has elevated post limits but this gives us something to investigate. I’m curious that you mentioned February to May last year, as obviously we are well outside of that time period now. Regardless of the user, if your app is limited to the standard 300 Tweets per 3 hours cap then you need to apply to have that increased via https://help.twitter.com/forms/platform
Thanks Andy, yesterday I made the request again anyway.
Can we know what state it is in? Or who to talk to to see what actions we can take?
We cannot comment on individual apps on the forums; the support form is the correct route to use.
