(Note: I’m new at this OAuth stuff.)

The “authenticate” docs say

To realize this behavior, you must enable the Use Sign in with Twitter setting on your application record.

But I’ll be hanged if I can find that setting on my application’s settings page. Am I missing some configuration? Am I misreading the doc? Or is it there and I just can’t see it?

It’s under “Authentication settings” in “Enable 3-legged OAuth”

That’s where I thought it would be, but I don’t see it there.

Oh that looks like it’s enabled - “Use Sign in with Twitter” became “Enable 3-legged OAuth”

Ah, OK, I see. So…

  1. That’s not the cause of my problem after all, and
  2. The documentation needs updating.
