Good afternoon,

I am not sure this is the right place but Twitter API documentation suggest to post here. I saw already few members having similar issues in the past but I feel our Dev account got blocked or something so posting for clarification.

We have an app that was doing some analytics and is using filtered streams and some twitter retrieve APIs for tweets and etc - nothing too much. We got one of the backgrounds tasks that was supposed to back will with some historical data to run a bit too long and I believe we exceeded the limits. This blocked our Filtered stream and we are now getting this error: Usage Cap Exceeded. Monthly product cap

We started getting Usage Cap Exceeded around 20th April:
It says its Monthly and the scope is Product.

I have tried yesterday and we still get the issue although we get x-rate-limit-reset to be in near future like 15 mins ahead.

I have few questions here:

  1. Is this perm block because I would expect this to have been removed already since we haven’t used it since 20th April and it almost 1 month. Even if we reached the limits on 20th we surely started using it earlier so technically should have had this refreshed already if we count 1 month from first usage of the APIs/filtered streams.
  2. Who I can contact if this is perm or how I can get this sorted - at least to know when this will be usable accessible again?

Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been answered already or not the right place. Happy to remove/move if this is necessary.

The reset time isn’t a calendar month, it’s from whatever date it was activated in the first place, so on https://developer.twitter.com/en/portal/dashboard it should say “Resets on …” exactly when.

If the usage isn’t exhausted there, but you’re still getting the error - maybe its a bug on their side or a different app / project?

This forum, or Other question are the only ways to get someone from twitter to look into it.
