Update From App Message Instead Of The Tweet

I finished setting up Auth key etc and everytime I try to tweet from my server (Iseries/Unix) , I see “Updated from App” message as the tweet instead of the actual tweet.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
I have the right consumer key/secret and access token/secret
Application Type is Read, Write and Access direct messages
Request setting is GET

(do I need to change the request setting to POST? If yes, how can change it the Request Setting since it always defaults back to GET)

It sounds like your code has a hard-coded string prepared for the text field of the statuses/update method – I’d look at your code and determine how that field is being. statuses/update requires a POST to function as well.
