Hello!
I made a Twitter bot a few months ago and it has been working perfectly, so today, I decided to make another one. However, I was unaware of the changes that Twitter has made to the creation of bots. I’m pretty sure that I have been copying the Callback URL into everywhere it needs to go correctly, but it’s entirely possible that I’m missing a key detail. Whenever I try to authorize my bot, here is the error that I receive:
From what I understand, I am supposed to whitelist the Callback URL, but no matter how much I try, it won’t work. I have tried repeatedly putting it into the Callback URL slot in both
apps.twitter.com and
developer.twitter.com but to no avail.
Thank you in advance for the help, and I apologize if this was a stupid question! I’m fairly new to bot-making.
Edit 10/7/18: I still haven’t been able to find a solution to this problem. Today, I made another bot in the exact same way to see if what happened was a fluke. If it’s significant, I’m using Google Sheets to make this bot. Here’s what happened. I got the callback URL from Google Sheets like I had done with my first-ever bot and plugged it into the Callback URL spot on developer.twitter.com. I then tried to authorize it, but was greeted with the same error message as before. After that, I went to apps.twitter.com and found that the same Callback URL was plugged into there. So, I’m back to square one and still have no clue about what I’m doing wrong.
