twitter4j time out

I am simply trying to connect to twitter for a dev app to help out my company

it is a java based app, and i am using the twitter4j library

i am constantly getting time out errors, and am unable to trace to either api or stream.twitter.com

what could be wrong?

Twitter4J definitely works well, so I would look for connectivity issues – things like proxy servers if you’re behind a corporate firewall.
