Twitter Widgets not working on WordPress?

Hello Lala Malangi. You appear to be the guru of twitter and blog issues. I’m wondering you could please help with this issue I’m experiencing. The twitter feed on my blog won’t update. I’m not I.T. Savvy and have tried doing investigations on forums, but I still can’t fix the problem.

This is the current setting for my twitter widget in my blog:

Is there something missing from this thread that’s preventing my blog from downloading my new tweets?

I’ve installed several twitter plugins to a wordpress site that I’m developing for a client, and have found the process to be extremely frustrating because none of them seem to work. Only one plugin was able to show me tweets from my client’s feed, but it only displayed one tweet and didn’t have options to show more, and to get just that one tweet to show on the site, I had to log into my own personal twitter account, and go to the developers page to create a twitter app and then copy and paste 4 or 5 lines of auth keys… That was absolutely ridiculous. I still don’t have a plugin that shows me multiple tweets, and fail to understand how it’s so hard for twitter to provide an api that allows people to write code that works. I’d use the twitter provided system for creating a widget, but I don’t like the two styles that they provide, and the default widget it too wide for the area that I’d like to place the feed. Two hours of my life wasted trying to show a handfull of tweets on a website. The hell?

Hi Raymond,

In addition to the default themes in the configuration there are a set of attributes and options you can add to your embed code to customise the appearance of our embedded timeline tool. Documentation is here: https://dev.twitter.com/docs/embedded-timelines#customization

The width is set automatically by where you place it in your page, but you can also use the width attribute to fix it if you’d like.

remove old code… now go to settings selecet widget then user timeline.then creat then past the code hope it will work take care

I get to the page where I create the new widget, bu there is no “options” field there. All I get are - username, options with check boxes, height, theme and link color. The button "create widget’ follows, but no “options” field where to type my domain name. Any ideas of how to get to this field? Thanks!

Twitter has changed the widget form. It no longer has a field to add domains. In the documentation about Embedded Tweets, under Trouble Shooting, they have some suggestions. https://dev.twitter.com/docs/embedded-tweets One is a script to add to the bottom of your template. I tried it and it doesn’t work.

I’m having the exact same problem… i go to settings - widgets - add new one and copy the code and paste it in my worpress site and i only see Follow @PickYours_Store nothing else. Is there a solution. I don’t like the pluggins i’ve found, the only one i really like is the one twitter gives. Any helps?

I don’t know anything about magic or how he does it, but ekakaspelltemple@yahoo.com is on the top of my personal list of “go-to people” when I find myself in a quandary or a disappointment regarding my love life. That is the most important part of life, in my opinion, and I was really going through a tough time with my husband of 5 years. It was really rough-going for several years before I finally got the kind of help I needed. I never would have thought I would have gone to a necromancer, but Ekaka is more than just about “spells”: He is a caring, deeply evolved human being with great sensitivity, and if it were not for him, I am totally certain my husband and I would be each others “ex” on this very day. Look/scroll down to DOMAINS box…do you see your domain name? It HAS to be in there 2x. The 2nd one has to have your www.yourname.com or the http://yourname.com

This option does not exist… I have tried every suggestion, I guess there must be different Twitter account types, because on my twitter widget settings, the Domain option is not there…
