Twitter widgets not working in webview on galaxy s7

We have a story in a webview with four tweets. On this particular phone with latest software updates none oft tweets render. the tweets always break in one way or the other. Sometimes creating whitespace and other times showing up without styling (as it seems). on other phones we have problems if the network is bad or similar but never like this. the problem is always reproducible even with good network.

Can you provide a little more detail about this problem so we can look into it:

• What version of Android are you running?
• Can you provide the url the webview is loading or the relevant embed code on the page?
• Is this happening in a public app we can download and test ourselves?

thanks for writing back. Android and chrome versions are:

• Android 7.0 / Build G930FXXU1DQE8 (Samsung Galaxy S7 Duos)
• Chrome 62.0.3202.84

Can you also share the url being loaded or the exact embed code you’re trying to render?

the embed always looks like this:

and we use the default script https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js and have no dynamic content. the embed-code is in the page when we inject the script.

Hi @oberhamsi,

That embed code does look correct, so I’m not really sure why your webview would be having this problem.

We do offer native Tweet displays through our TwitterKit SDK if you think that might work in your app: https://dev.twitter.com/twitterkit/android/overview
