This is still not working for me. I can see it in Chrome and Explorer, but in Firefox it shows up as Tweets from @UNCCHSSocial/unc-chs-health-tweets. I have the new widget code (it’s for a list) and is copied below. But it doesn’t show up all the time. Any ideas why? I added an http before the :// in the code and then it broke on all my browsers.
Tweets from @UNCCHSSocial/unc-chs-health-tweets
Same as here…
i’ve used this widget for sometimes now, and nothing happen until this morning.
It just suddenly disappeared and not showing anything but link to twitter, i’ve tried copy pasted new scripts and still nothing to show here.
It just blank field on the webpage. Tried several time still don’t fix anything.
Is this some kind of bug or maybe the widget is no longer continued?
We had a bug on our side, but it should be fixed now.
Thanks vincent… This one is working for me… I have searched this from more day… I am really happy with this… But some times it shows empty tweets…
Do I have to create an app to get twitter feeds on my website, as embedded timeline widget is not working
I have had Twitter feeds on my website previously. Now I just redid my webpage, and added it just as before, and the problem is that my twitter feeds show up on every web browser except on Safari on an iPhone with iOS 7. When the webpage loads, it gets to where it has to load the twitter feeds, then suddenly makes the table it is in invisible. It’s baffling. I’ve tried it with and without the Weather Channel script on the webpage as well.
Any help?

Just in case anyone else hasn’t checked this and tearing their hair out as I did…
I’ve spent the last 6 hours trying to work this problem out. I was using Chrome and it had the same problem as everyone here has mentioned. I have an extension installed that blocks connections to Twitter (and other social network sites). I disabled it and suddenly it all started working! (Face, Palm).
I have no problem with the Twitter feed on my site, I simply cannot get the tweet-to-whoever@twitter buttons to appear except for the basic “tweet button”. The others just show text, even though they did work originally?? The feed worked no problem except it was about 900px too long, but I did some tweaking and got it down to a better, more manageable size. If you can write wire frame code or I frame or html, etc., you can usually make it work. I’d be happy to help! Riverdie@twitter or river@revivified.net
I have tried every trick in the book to make the buttons appear in more than text, nut no luck. And that means quite a bit, like I said I can write just about any code, and notice almost any misalignment in it. Strange, its always the little things that stump me. Amused!
Gavin, River here, had that issue and yes I had to create a new widget. So as a possible confirmation, you have hit the nail on the head.
I see 36 weeks Sheila, have you had any help?
Wow,one year, have you gotten it to work yet? If not, have you tried a different browser to view your site? Riverdie@twitter.com
Gavin, have you tried view your site in different browsers’? My “stuff” doesn’t show up as anything but text using Firefox, but Opera or Chrome no problem! Perfect!
Twitter is using a Frameset for widget, i think the DOCTOPE of your Page is wrong. Find here the right DOCTYPE: http://www.w3.org/QA/2002/04/valid-dtd-list.html
My twitter feed was working fine for months and now is only showing the “tweets by” line. I went to my settings and the Preview is not showing up either. Can anyone make any suggestions? My code is:
Tweets by @Firecrackers_01
It seems that widget parameters haven’t been configured properly. Please make sure that you are using a valid twitter username or query, and that you have inserted the correct authentication keys. Detailed instructions are written on the widget settings page.
the jetpack plugin seems to work the best - kallyas one doesn’t work.
Hello, I too am trying to add a “Follow me on Twitter” widget to my website. All I get is the text …
The instructions from Twitter seem so simple: Just copy in the code… But it doesn’t work. About to give up having the button on my webpage.
I am amazed how long this has been an issue with various reasons tied to it. I get no preview. My “Protect my Tweets” is unchecked. I have tried adding http and https. The widget creator leads one to think it will work easy peasy by just a copy and paste. IMHO it’s simply broken and not worth the time to fix when it’s something on Twitters end that THEY need to address. I’m developing a project from scratch and looked into the cosial networking integrations, hence my revisit here. But I’m simply not going to use Twitter period, this is a basic very desirable option people want. To ignore it’s issues and not fix or address it decently is just ignorance. People like myself wont waste the time, despite “possibly” fixing it… at some point. Please oil this squeaky cog. Thanx.
Had the same problem, deleted all old widgets, created a new one and just inserted the code provided to the body of the page… so deleting any existing widgets might help, worked for me.
