Twitter widget not working on my website

I created a widget in order to embed within my Desire2Learn course and I get the same “tweet from” error. Here’s my code:

I can’t get the tweets to work on a web page. Here is the error message: Was unable to generate a widget preview with this configuration. Some of the settings may be in an invalid or unexpected format.

I haven’t changed settings just using basic default. I have checked the webste address over and over - it is right.

LOL was baffling me… go to your settings, scroll down and uncheck ‘protect my tweets’ you links will reappear.

I got it to work by doing three things.

Where it asks for your domain you must list your domain in two way
like this: www.example.com, example.com
The “script” part of the code does not go in the BODY of the HTML it goes in the HEAD
with your other scripts.
Part of the script is missing!! The part that reads: src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js"
you must change by adding http: so that it reads src=“http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js”

This will get your code to work!!

My twitter widget stopped working recently as well, and after a couple of hours of trying to get it to work, I turned to a third party widget I found called Tint ( http://www.tintup.com/ ). It lets you connect multiple twitter accounts (including hashtags) and customize how it looks (and it looks a lot better than the default widget IMHO).

I haven’t had any problems since I integrated it.

Hello everybody, come one everyone its very simple!, go back to your twitter setting and just put in the domains box your domain name two time separated by a comma, one entree must be the domain name plainly without the http://www. and the next one whit www. all lowercase and that is it. UrbanSkateL said like 20 posts up this discussion. Its working perfectly form me on all browser all OS.
It looks beautiful.

I have website http://macvacc.org . I have panel that shows recent Tweets. Although previously working for me now it stay saying @vACCSlovenia Welcome (I have remove this tweet it was published 9 days ago) and add another one, but the new one don’t want to be shown. Anyone know how to fix this?

I don’t see the domains box in the widget section? Did something get changed or is it hidden somewhere?
