Twitter timeline search widget latest tweet missing

If I search for the latest tweet on twitter I can find it by username.
The latest tweet is not appearing in the twitter search widget on my website though it uses the same username.

Is this a bug or how can I solve this?

Are you using the new 1.1 API or the deprecated 1.0?

I use the new 1.1 API widgets from generated within my account.

In addition, it seems that searching for the username without @ does give results.
It’s much better to search for a username WITH @ like this @username
Isn’t it?
That prevents false results from popping up.

But that fails… any clues how to search for @username in the timeline search widget?
Is there specific code for that?
