Twitter Summary Missing Image

#1

We’ve updated our twitter cards to include images and have been whitelisted. The card validator verifies the correct card and type but never pulls in images for both the “summary” and “summary_large_image” types.

Here’s an example of the summary_large_image type:

You can also see a tweet here: (was limited on the number of links, need to add the full url)

Any help pointing my in the direction of what I’m doing wrong would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bert

Have you previously tweeted an identical link but where the card type was summary instead of summary_large_image? if so, this could be a caching issue.

Have you verified that your images are able to be retrieved by Twitterbot (curl -A Twitterbot and/or check robots.txt)

More in the troubleshooting guide.

All unique links. Fresh new articles, maybe around 25/day are published as summary_large_image and probably around 40/day as a standard summary with image.

Today I seem to be getting errors with the validator.

Unable to render card preview:

The validator appears to be working again, but with no image.

Also, received another odd one showing a broken image?
