Twitter sample stream authorisation failing

Hi guys,

I’m currently unable to authorise when attempting to connect to the sample twitter stream API at this URL;

https://stream.twitter.com/1.1/statuses/sample.json

The log-in details are definitely correct (I’m using them to post here). Also, a secondary test account fails. This seems to not be an IP related issue as authentication fails from my work, home, and mobile connection.

I have been testing using both code and simply going to the URL in my browser, neither work.

Hope someone can shed some light.

Are you using OAuth 1.0A to connect? The Streaming API no longer supports basic auth (login and password) authentication, and you’ll need to use OAuth 1.0A to connect.
