Twitter New Photo-Tagging Feature

#1

Is the any API support for the newly introduced Photo-Tagging Feature. I’m using “statuses/update_with_media” api in my application and I would like use the photo tagging feature when uploading an image and to tag the people.

Thanks@andypiper

#4

Is the Photo-Tagging api open yet?

#5

No.

When we announce new APIs we do so via @twitterapi / @TwitterDev and these discussion forums, so keep an eye on them.

#7

Is the Photo-Tagging api open up?

#8

No - it would have been announced if we had added it.

#9

Still nothing ? Maybe in progress ? Thanks

#11

This feature-request is from 2014. It’s 2016 and still nothing. Is there any plan to support this? Our customers are screaming for it!

#12

Nothing to announce on this at the moment, but we are looking at ways to enhance the media API experience.

#13

Is there any update on this API feature?

#14

No, not at this time. However, we have added new media features like chunked uploads for larger images and videos, and alt text support, so we continue to improve our API coverage. No news on person tagging at the moment.

#15

I see. Thanks a lot!

#16

Image size limit is now 5MB? Can I upload 4 images of 5MB each at the same time? When I read API documentation, I’m confused by this line
"In addition, there is a separate product entity specific filesize limit which is applied when calling the Tweet creation (or similar) endpoints with media_id"
What is Tweet creation endpoint with media_id? Thanks!
