Hi,

We’re seeing the following error appear when using Twitter as an log in method for our guest SSID ‘Nothing to see here’. Seems to only happen when using mobile devices and when using an email address to log in with. Works fine when using a username on any device. Also seems to work when using an email address on a laptop running Windows 10.

Adding every known Twitter domain under the sun into the whitelist has not made any difference.

Is this an issue with mini browsers on mobile devices/ a whitelist problem? Or is there something fundamentally broken/ disallowed from a Twitter perspective?

Appreciate any comments or advice.

Adam

I’m not aware of a functional change here. You mention mobile devices - does this affect both iOS and Android?

Yes, both iOS and Android are affected by this. But only when using email. Works fine with usernames.

Also works fine when using a laptop (Windows 10 and Macbook).

I’ve seen similar behavior sometimes. It seems to happen when logging in using an identifier that I can’t login with. For example my account is configured so I have to login with email and not username.

Emulating an iPhone in Chrome, start the OAuth flow with an app (e.g. TwitterOAuth PHP Library for the Twitter REST API), on Twitter you should see username and password field at the same time. Here I enter my username and password and get redirected to the following URL. If I use email than login works fine.
