Twitter list widget displays tweets only part of the time (in loop)

We’ve been having issues with the twitter widget. Since the search version wasn’t working properly (same handful of tweets were repeating), we switched over to a list version. But it only works periodically. Minutes will go by with no tweets in the loop (widget is blank), and then they will suddenly appear. I’ve tried adjusting the interval, but that doesn’t seem to have an effect. The list itself seems to be populating fine on Twitter itself.

Same problem here. We get 400 errors (like it is a throttle issue).

Is it possible that you’re hitting a rate limit? If a lot of users sharing the same IP load the widget, it is possible to go over the 150 requests/hour rate limit, which will temporarily prevent updates from loading from the API.
