Twitter is broken in IE8 (last 24 hours)

I’ve been having this exact problem for the past few days with IE9.

Also, I’m not sure what happened but it didn’t look like I was able to submit this report in IE9 either. I had to use Firefox.

I’m seeing this same error. Reported it to twitter via support form, but I haven’t gotten a response. Can someone from twitter please work on this?? Kind of a big deal to be able to view people’s profiles…

This started about two days ago out of the blue. Nothing has changed on my system but Twitter is now unusable. I can’t tweet, respond to tweets or scroll back to see old tweets–like from 5 hours earlier. Please fix.

I’m also using IE8 and haven’t been able to get access to my account for the past 3 days now!! Something like this never seems to happen to Facebook…?!?

I VERY MUCH AGREE with Dean here! Besides, it is very short-sighted to assume that users always have a choice of browser - most people using Twitter in a business environment (which you better keep happy if you want to keep your market evaluations high!) are restricted to use IE8 by their IT administrators which in turn choose it as it is still the most compatible and unproblematic browser for Windows servers!

Have you noticed this seems to happen only with custom backgrounds ?

Please test and remove your background - restoring it to the default background

see if the “scripts” issue goes away and let us all know

I am using Firefox 23.0.1 and Safari 6.0.5 and Twitter appears to be broken in both browsers. Is there something wrong? (Mac Book Pro OSX 10.8.4)

Exactly what is it that are broken? I’m on the same Safari and MacBook as yourself, I am currently not experiencing any problems and haven’t done that for a long time.

Could you give a more detailed description of the error and if possible submit a screenshot?

It is fine since you emailed me. All day previously, my page came up without images. Then I went into Twitter and no pages were coming up with images. It was on and off intermittently during the day, that day.
