Twitter is broken in IE8 (last 24 hours)

Something broke in Twitter when viewing it in IE8 (soem time in the last 24 hours).

Basically you can no longer view a persons profile via their URL eg - http://twitter.com/deancollins

Error says Javascript problem

Is there nobody in Twitter that uses Internet explorer?

for the lst 24 hours you cant view a persons profile when logged in, basically unless you log out it is impossible to view profiles eg http://twitter.com/deancollins using internet explorer.

also i noticed the “send direct message” button on email is also broken so i’m assumign its the same Java problem.

will this get fixed or should i only use twitter clients instead of a browser?

I’m still getting the same result here, basically can view user profiles when logged out but once you log in you cant see a users profile.

interestingly i did have a fluke yesterday evening where it started working but couldn’t recreate access a second time.

BTW if you see a usersname within twitter then click on it from the sidepanel you can view their profile as the url fine.

close that browser and enter the url again…it fails.

I agree It works well in chrome and firefox but the report in ie8 is good to know. There’s also been a report of "force close "in mobile.twitter ever since the new android system update 3 days. A lot of changes.

Repair IE8 (IE7) and IE9
This script works for IE9 as well. In particular it seems to fix the problem that after a successful installation the IE launch “blinks away” without an error message. I suggest to also completely reset IE at Internet Options, advanced, in this case after running the script.

I’ve been having this exact problem for the past few days with IE9.

Also, I’m not sure what happened but it didn’t look like I was able to submit this report in IE9 either. I had to use Firefox.
