Twitter intent link popup not working in IE8

Twitter intent link popup not working in IE8 and its works well in IE 9 & 10.

Below is the anchor tag which I’m using. Could any one advice fix for this.

Twitter’s widgets JavaScript supports Internet Explorer 9 or greater. Tweet Intent links displayed in an unsupported browser will maintain the behavior of other anchor elements on the page.

An anchor enhancement applied by Twitter’s widgets JavaScript such as opening a link in a child window will not apply in unsupported browsers such as Internet Explorer 8.
