Twitter feed on website isn't working - blocked API?

I am using a Wordpress theme in which there is an inbuilt module for a Twitter stream. This can be activated by putting in the API Consumer & Secret Keys. The developer suggested finding out if my keys have been locked or if it is something else. Any help on how I can go about this?

If there’s an issue with your keys, you should be able to see that on apps.twitter.com or you can open a ticket with platform support. I think it’s highly unlikely, since you’ll only be using the module for display of Tweets.

You may also prefer to use our own Wordpress plugin, which does not require API keys.
