Twitter::Error::Forbidden: Status is over 140 characters

I am trying to tweet this:
Vuln: Birebin.com for Android CVE-2014-2993 X.509 Certificate Validation Security Bypass Vulnerability http://goo.gl/NlUV0b #bugtraq

But I am getting back:
Twitter::Error::Forbidden: Status is over 140 characters.

The length of the above tweet is only 132 characters… Why am I getting this error? It used to work just fine up until 6 hours ago.

In your tweet, the “Birebin.com” part is recognized as a URL and so takes up the space any http URL takes (22 characters). If you try copying your text in the tweet box on Twitter.com you can see that that part becomes blue.
