Twitter embed on Joomla 2.5.7 not working

I’ve been running into an issue with using Twitter embed code in posts on Joomla 2.5.7. When I drop in the embed code, the actual Tweet box doesn’t show up and instead an indented area only displays the tweet. Defeats the purpose of using the embed code in the first place, especially when trying to display media attached to a tweet.

Any idea if this is a new issue only with Joomla?

Joomla is likely stripping out the <script> component of the embed HTML.

If you have the ability to edit your theme you could add the <script> component to every page just before .

A Joomla extension may help.
