Twitter.com/i/search/timeline vs api.twitter.com/1.1/search/tweets.json

Hi all,
I just started working with twitter api. Searching on google I found a tool that instead of using the rest API, it collects tweet sending a request to https://twitter.com/i/search/timeline?"query"
Differently from rest API this approach doesn’t require authentication and allows to retreive tweets older than a week.
I would like to know if I am allowed to query twitter through this url or if it is considered an unauthorized attempt bypass twitter API limits.
thanks

Depends - if the place you found is getting access through Gnip they could have access to search api that can retrieve older tweets.

If they’re scraping the results from the web interface or some other undocumented endpoint, it’s unlikely to last.
