Twitter cards validate but don't show up in tweets

My site was approved more than 24 hrs ago and my pages validate, however no cards show up on my tweets. See this tweet, for example, https://twitter.com/MarketBuildr/statuses/419645902681538560 . What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

I am having the same problem, twitter cards are approved in the validator but don’t show up in my twitter page.

Works now! It took 2 days after the approval to start working. Also, I made sure to explicitly add Twitter crawler to the robots.txt file yesterday, so that plus another 24 hours may have been the key.

Your robots.txt (http://mokuromi.com/robots.txt) prevents Twitter’s crawler from getting the images. More details here: https://dev.twitter.com/docs/cards/getting-started#crawling

OK, so, if I post a link (approved with meta tags) from my blog post into a tweet, that should automatically show the “summary”… or is there another code I have to post into my tweet?

if you have meta tags in the web page you are linking to, and the page is validated and whitelisted, then it should show in the tweet detail view (not timeline). Are you having an issue? Can you provide more information?

Is there no way to make the tweets appear with a n image attached so it appears in the main timeline looking nicer?
We are using JetPack Publisize to twitter.

Hi Simon, I assume by nicer you mean pre-expanded in the timeline. If that’s the case, you can achieve this by using the camera icon in the compose window to attach a photo to a tweet. pic.twitter.com images are always pre-expanded. When using cards, a click is required to view the content.

I have exactly the same problem. http://punt.ly/index.php?p=200001 Card validates. punt.ly has been approved. Used to work. Now stopped worked. No idea why. Checked everything. Have changed owner username recently - would this matter? This is driving me crazy.

PS: other than a “validate button” - which I don’t see - is there any way to inquire on the validated url?

If you tweet that URL, you will see a View Summary link, and a summary card attached.

That page has cards markup included 5 times, with different descriptions. This is not necessary, only the first set of markup will be read by the validator and the cards crawler.

If you tweet http://intense-taiga-3703.herokuapp.com/entry/xiii-le-haka-lors-de-nouvelle-zelande-australie-junior-hd then you are linking to a page with no cards markup included, so there is no card attached to the tweet.

I will delete your other thread asking the same questions as there is no point in duplicating this discussion in the forum.
