Hi !

My account was approved a few hours ago. When I preview a link, twitter cards appear fine, but nothing in the tweet. How do I fix this problem?

My site was approved for Twitter Summary and Photo Cards today but not getting any of the summary results on my content despite it showing the title, description and image on the Preview Tool. Here is today’s blog post for example:

The code was generated by the Twitter Cards Wordpress plugin. I’ve also tried installing the Wordpress SEO plugin at one point which incorporates the author and creator tags, which also works in the preview but didn’t show on Twitter either when I tested that so I removed that version for now.

Can you verify that everything is working on your end?

It works fine, but I have 2 problems. Both can be demonstrated with http://zzzen.com/global420/

If the tweet includes both a link to my url and a flickr photo, e.g. https://twitter.com/TheRealDod/status/252847103800401920 - we only see my twitter card and not a preview of the flickr photo
If I decide to comment out the twitter card (which is what I do at the moment), Twitter still shows the card it “remembers”. No way to “turn in my card”

We’ve solved the issue by serving the image to the bot over an image handler.

I have used “https://dev.twitter.com/docs/cards/preview” my url (http://www.mapsofworld.com/usa/presidential-election/obama-or-romney.html) is working file over there, but when I share it to <a href="http://twiiter.com/>Twiiter, It never shows the “view summary” button.

My application was just approved, but had the incorrect domain name activated. In the approval email, it said http://notestagram.com has been activated, but the domain I applied for was http://notestagramapp.com.

Will cards show up in tweets that use 3rd party URL shorteners?

For example, if someone links to my content using a bit.ly link, or a home-bew URL shortener, will the card show up?

We’re having the same issue on our site - it will only pick up the ‘creator’ tags when we use @teesawshirts; as soon as we use someone else’s username there it just omits the field…any advice? has anyone else seen this bug?

Have you tried using the tag ‘twitter:site’? i dont see it in the source for the website where you’re hosting the photo…still not sure why it’s defaulting to this @robin person - but give it a shot…

Are photo cards intended to mimic the performance of apps like instagram?

I can see the photos that we post if i log onto twitter.com, but when we use 3P apps like tweetdeck and ubersocial (for blackberry) or even the twitter app for blackberry, the photo cards don’t show up…any ideas?

Also - I posted above an issue where our twitter cards will not display a creator any time it’s anyone except ourselves (@teesawshirts). Has this been brought up as an issue? Any idea why this wouldn’t be working?

Got notification this morning that we have been approved for cards, but we don’t see it implemented in the Twitter stream yet. How long does it take before we should see our content as cards, as it were? Our tags are in place and good to go…

I’m seeing the same sorts of issues as some others on the thread. I received an email saying my application was approved. Using the preview tool, my tags validate and display correctly. However, links to the same pages don’t show as cards in the stream itself.

Is there a suggested method of addressing this?

I’ve wondered whether it may have something to do with the “Website domain” field in the application. I entered the url of the blog itself (wac6.com), however articles themselves are under a sub-directory (/wac6) . Does Twitter assume sub-directories are included, or do I need to resubmit with a new url (wac6.com/wac6, wac6.com/*, etc…), or is this unrelated to the problem?

Any chance you might allow an image tag attribute to request max-height based on longest dimension?

(Book covers are almost always portrait, and usually look better smaller than they do cropped.)
