Twitter Cards Pulling Wrong Information

#1

Hello!

I’ve noticed today that our Twitter Cards are pulling the wrong information in their previews.

This post for example: http://www.n3rdabl3.co.uk/2014/06/microsoft-unveil-crackdown-3-e3-conference/

Pulls all of the information from this post: http://www.n3rdabl3.co.uk/2013/05/microsoft-plans-a-huge-xbox-360-unveil-at-e3/

I’m currently using Wordpress Yoast Plugin to add the meta information.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve just checked the header for that particular post and it seems the meta information is correct:

So why would Twitter be pulling the wrong information?

This is really odd. I’ve just tried validating several pages on your site - some work as expected, and others seem to pick up completely different links to validate. It is as if there is some redirection going on before the cards crawler ever starts to build the card. However, I don’t see any strange redirections happening with a browser or with curl. At the moment, I am stumped - but I will see what I can figure out.

Really sorry you are experiencing this!

Hello Andy,

Thank you for getting back to me.

I believe it may have been something to do with us recently moving servers and switching nameservers. Does Twitter have it’s own DNS? Could that have been the issue?

I’ve checked some of our later posts and things are now working as normal. If you’d like me to give you any more information so you could perhaps prevent this from happening in the future I’d be more than happy to provide it!

Again, thanks for the reply and keep up the great work!
