Twitter Cards only showing for validated URLs

Issue: twitter cards are only showing for URLs that have been specifically validated through Twitter’s validation. All others only display the URL.

I can supply links from my website, but there’s no specific link- I want
all of links to be cards automatically.

As far as troubleshooting, I am unsure of where to begin, since any URL I
individually validate will display a card just fine- but if the link is not
validated it will not display a card. My understanding is that the code
entered should produce cards each time without additional validation.
